Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for coordinating activities, communications, and events related to the "Project Mindset Program" in the Cass Clay area and the surrounding region. The position will be a key communication link between those managing the program and the participants of the program. Additionally, the position will assist in the development of the program's curriculum as well as support and participate in the delivery of the curriculum to the student-aged participants.

Supervision of:

Required Education, Certifications, Experience
    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. At least 18 years old
    3. 1 year experience successfully managing programs and projects
    4. 1 year experience developing curriculums and associated documentation/workbooks
Required Within a Specific Time Frame: 
    1. Listen First Training

Position Specific Competencies:
1. Develops and manages communications and meeting schedules/venues for project meetings, events, and activities 2. Develops and publishes curriculum materials based on guidance from the program directors
3. Coordinates the development of marketing campaigns, website(s), and materials with appropriate staff and
4. Establishes and manages social media strategies and activities in support of networking, communication, and
    participant recruiting efforts
5. Establishes and maintains effective communication channels with regional schools and colleges, as well as with
    other key project stakeholders
6. Assists in planning and organizing major events associated with the initiative
7. Implements the 7 Mindset Program at the YMCA and within the community to empower youth
8. Coordinates a training program for the YMCA staff with interns
9. Works with interns associated with the program

1. Is on time and present for scheduled shift; when unable to work scheduled shift – informs supervisor per policy
    and finds own replacement if possible
2. Attends mandatory departmental meetings and training sessions as required
3. Maintains a neat and clean work area, free of hazards
4. Follows YMCA policies and departmental procedures
5. Wears name tag at all times
6. Other duties upon request by immediate supervisor

Blood Exposure:
Category 2: This position occasionally performs duties that result in exposure to "Fluids at Risk for Transmission" or this person may render some medical assistance as part of their position in an emergency on limited occasions. Bloodborne Pathogens training is required but the Hepatitis B vaccination will not be offered.
